Josh Allen reports to St. John Fisher University on July 29 for his ninth training camp since Buffalo drafted him in 2018. The same week, his wife turned in a run of career news that never once checked his schedule — a fragrance campaign, a Disney premiere date, and a furniture line all doing business at once.
Allen and Steinfeld are the NFL’s least conventional celebrity couple, and July is where that shows. He told E! News camp will be “definitely going to be different this year,” more FaceTimes than usual, missing his wife and their four-month-old daughter, Harper Haize. They revealed their daughter’s name on Substack back in the spring, a little over a year removed from their wedding at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito.
He’s headed into six weeks of two-a-days in Pittsford. She’s mid-cycle on three professional rollouts that have nothing to do with football, running on their own timeline regardless of what he’s doing in western New York.
Estee Lauder announced Steinfeld this week as the new face of Glimmer, an amber floral with what the brand calls a gourmand twist. She recorded a cover of Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good” for the campaign and said the scent “has notes of roses and vanilla” and “truly smells like me.” It hits retail in August, while Allen is presumably still relearning install packages.
I’ve watched that campaign video twice, and the Nina Simone cover is genuinely good, which undercuts my instinct to file this under generic-celebrity-fragrance-grab.
Then there’s Hexed, the Disney animated film she stars in, premiering November 25, the day before Thanksgiving. And there’s Ashley Luxe, the furniture line she’s fronted since April — five collections in, with a TV spot where she says design has “always been part of my life” and the pieces are meant to feel “elevated while still being accessible.” That partnership isn’t new this week. It’s just still running, quietly, underneath everything else she’s doing.
Her calendar doesn’t defer to his season.
They still made time for pickleball. Steinfeld’s Beau Society newsletter mentioned a 2-on-2 match with another couple this week — “getting to play pickleball with Greer and our husbands,” she wrote, taking “time to connect outside in nature” before he leaves for camp.

Allen will spend the next six weeks living out of a dorm room, grinding through his ninth camp on a roster that still has business to finish. Steinfeld will spend it doing press for a movie, a fragrance, and a furniture line that all exist independent of him.

Allen gets training camp. Steinfeld gets an empire.
